Capable of copying data at up to 16MB/s from flash memory cards to its hard disk without the need for a computer, the MD80 enables photographers to go further without fear of running out of memory card space. No more bottlenecks waiting for memory cards to finish copying, the CompactDrive MD80 is able to copy a full 1GB memory card in under 2 minutes.

Based on customer feedback for a smaller, lighter device with greater flexibility, the CompactDrive MD80 sports a rich feature set to satisfy the most demanding user. ECC file verification, blue EL backlit LCD screen, and the ability to charge and power the device via the USB port are just some of the enhancements found in the CompactDrive MD80.

Now with MP3 and WMA music support has been built-in, you can bring your favorite tunes with you on holiday without having to lug along yet another device and its power adaptor. The CompactDrive MD80 is able to transfer more than 40GB of data on a single charge thanks to its efficient power design. With its high speed USB 2.0 connection, you can quickly transfer pictures and data back to your computer for sorting and post processing. The CompactDrive MD80 doubles as an external storage device while connected to a computer, allowing you to easily transfer data between your home and work computers. The CompactDrive MD80 draws power from the USB 2.0 port for operation, and also charges the battery without the need for an additional power adaptor.

Housed in a sleek, compact casing, the CompactDrive MD80 also leads the industry with its support for major memory card formats without any need for additional card adaptors. At 116mm x 65mm x 19mm (4.56" x 2.55" x 0.75") and 170 grams (5.92 ounces), it occupies almost the same weight and space as the average PDA.

MD80 powered by replaceable BL-5C Battery or via USB Port. The MD80 is also an intelligent fast battery charger. A battery charging state indicator will appear when the batteries are charging and a successful indicator will be shown after charging is complete.
